Why a huge Wedding Cake is over-rated and out-dated...

You gotta have wedding cake. It's a thing, right? Grandma would be pissed if she didn't have the option of just the one slice of cake! Well, While you need a certain amount of tradition at the wedding, and some guests will absolutely eat forkfuls of cake - It's ok to abandon the huge 5 tier wedding cake for a dessert bar, pies, cookies, macaroons... even donuts. The best choice you can make for your wedding is one that is reflective of you - the couple. All of the decisions you make should lead to two things:

Your wedding should be intrinsically reflective of you - not of every other bride or groom on pinterest. Make each decision because it makes sense for your wedding, your guests, and your event vision.
Your wedding should be an experience. Your guests' experience should be considered in every decision. Oh, and hey - you ARE a guest at the wedding! Don't forget that! If you and your fiance love donuts? Welp, cut a donut!
